Dear Members of the Mar Thoma church of Montreal
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1–5)
Praising God for allowing us to enter 2026! Remember all the ways God guided us throughout the past year. When we come together, keep sharing and acknowledging his presence in our lives with others, and what God has done for us in happy and painful experiences. The moments we took during the year-end to witness God’s grace in our lives should be continued throughout this year. As David continues in this Psalm, do not forget the ways God healed our sickness, forgave our sins and continues to fill us with His love and strengthen us with goodness. Let 2026 be a time to realize how we can improve our faith in God and express it in the best manner with others around us.
In your participation, always ensure to genuinely engage with all, create inclusivity and glorify God, which will help you to grow spiritually (1 Corinthians 10:31).
As we enter a new year, we are finalizing the year’s gatherings. Prayerfully note the dates and take part in the spiritual enrichment of us as individuals, families and as a Parish. From January onwards, we’ll be having monthly Parish Prayer meetings either online or in person. Do reach out to the Parish Secretary if you are willing to host it at home.
Do reach out to me on any personal or family needs to be placed in prayer, and with your suggestions to serve you better.
In Prayers,
Rev. Naveen Mathew Thomas
